Staff

Kort is the lead pastor at Providence and oversees the daily operations of the church. He is a husband to his wonderful wife and high school sweetheart, Morgan. Kort has served in ministry since the age 18, and led youth, college, and young adult ministries for 5 years before planting Providence. Kort is an undergraduate from Liberty University, and serves as a staff member and Elder at Providence.

Cory is the Director of Groups at Providence, and oversees all things related to home group formation and leadership development. He has been involved in the ministry since 2007, and loves every minute that he spends serving the local body at Providence. Cory has been married since 2008 to his wife Leah, and has two sons named Jonah (2010) and Micah (2013).  Cory also shares the pulpit with Pastor Kort.

Brendan is the Director of Worship and Arts at Providence and oversees all aspects of gathered worship and audio/visual content. Brendan has devoted his entire life to musical/creative ministry and currently has over a decade of experience leading saints (young and old) in corporate worship through song. He is a husband to his wonderful wife Chelsea and currently leads Birney Point Home Group alongside her.

Art is a husband to his wonderful wife, Olga, and a father to 2 amazing kids: Dana and Brendan. Art has served as a deacon for many years, as well as other prominent leadership positions before joining Providence. Art worked for Exxon Mobil for 38 years before retiring in 2012 to take a break. Little did he know that “taking a break” would mean serving as an Elder at Providence and as Providence’s Financial Officer. Art also leads Kings Point Home Group alongside his wife Olga.

Butch is a husband to his wonderful wife Debbie, and a father to 4 amazing kids: Zach, Chelsea, Colby, and Hope. He has served as an Elder for many years before joining Providence’s launch team. Butch and Debbie have owned and operated Asher Plumbing for 28 years. Butch leads Huffman Home Group alongside his wife Debbie, and serves as an Elder at Providence.

Ty is the Operations Director at Providence and oversees all Volunteer operations at the church. He is a husband to his wonderful wife Megan, and has two beautiful children, Caleb and Lauren. Ty has served in the ministry for many years, helping to lead student, college, and young adult ministries before joining Providence. Ty served our country for 4 years in the United States Coast Guard, before achieving his Undergraduate Degree from Liberty University.

Julie is the Director of ProvidenceFamily at Providence and oversees the entirety of the Children and Student ministry. She and her husband Matt have been married for 19 years, and their son Matthew enjoys drawing, angry birds, and transformers. Julie obtained her bachelors degree in Psychology from Sam Houston State University, and her masters degree in School Psychology from the University of Houston at Clear Lake
